Our store staff were long used to needing their fixed cash desk to complete a transaction or look up product stock levels. This changed with the roll-out of EVA POS and the matching Companion App. From now on staff can look up customer profiles, tap into detailed product information and even complete transactions from any place on the store floor. A great queue busting benefit during peak season shopping. Especially since our customers can now pay on the fly, using Pay by Link or contactless payments via Tap to Pay on iPhone. This really accelerated our vision of a mobile-first store experience.
Having stock of other stores and warehouses at their fingertips, our team can turn an out-of-stock situation into a profitable sale, conveniently delivered to the customers’ home address. This completely transformed the in-store experience, leading to higher conversion rates and faster check-out. Vice-versa, our stores are now in direct control of e-commerce orders coming their way, helping us mix & match sales channels seamlessly. The ability for customers to self-onboard to our loyalty programme by scanning a QR-code on their personal device, also greatly boosted the capture rate on in-store consumers, driving up retention sales.
